OVERVIEW
This roundtable brings together policy experts, government officials and business leaders to discuss the pressing issues concerning the structure and performance of provincial governments’ budgeting practices. Papers will be presented on whether provincial budgets should be divided into operational, capital and savings components; on how the resource revenue savings funds should be structured; and on how resource revenues have affected provincial budgets. Panels will discuss the need for an independent budget office in Alberta and review the adoption of performance measurement and performance based-budgeting.

Each session will include a portion of time for discussion and dialogue between the audience and speakers.
